Charlie Ehrke is a 9-year-old storyteller with a huge imagination and a heart full of adventure. Fascinated by the mysteries of the ocean and the glowing creatures that live deep beneath the waves, Charlie dreamed up The Adventures of Sophia and Bob: A Story of Courage and Friendship to share the magic of friendship, bravery, and creativity with children everywhere.
Charlie loves writing stories that make readers laugh, imagine, and explore new worlds—just like Bob and Sophia explore the sparkling depths of the sea. When not writing, Charlie enjoys drawing, reading, and discovering fun ocean facts that often inspire her next adventure.
Through this book, Charlie hopes to inspire young explorers everywhere to be brave, be kind, and always let their own light shine—just like the glowing friends in her story.
ABOUT RILEY EHRKE
Riley Ehrke, Charlie’s 8-year-old younger sister, is a colorful, imaginative young artist with a love for creativity. As the co-illustrator of The Adventures of Sophia and Bob, Riley brought the magical underwater world to life with her bright colors, soft lines, and imaginative drawings. Every character she illustrates carries a spark of joy, playfulness, and friendship.
Riley has loved drawing from a very young age. Sea creatures, glowing lights, colorful fish, and fun little characters often fill her imagination and inspire her artwork. A seashell, a painted rock, or a shining star in the night sky—anything around her can become the beginning of a new idea.
